Do you mind if I ask you a question? You indicated on one of your posts that you made a simple syrup to moisten pre-made cupcakes

Is this a pretty good rule of thumb? I made cupcakes today (Fri) for a Sunday party and I am afraid of them drying out. Also, if I don't plan on making frosting till Sun do I need to refrigerate?

Hi Cristin, I do not like to refrigerate cupcakes because I find it affects the texture of the cake, but many bakeries do it, so you may want to try it yourself! If you do not refrigerate the unfrosted cupcakes, I think brushing simple syrup should prevent them from drying for a day...haven't tried two days in advance though. Good luck!
